Things prejudice might prevent you from knowing about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.
Palestinian Liberation Organisation which has consistently championed the creation of a Palestinian state was formed by an Arab group consisting of Muslims and Christians to tackle Israel.
The founder of the Zionist movement in the 1890s Theodore Herzl agreed that Israeli Jews be resettled in Uganda, not Palestine.
More than 15 per cent of the Israeli population is Muslim, and less than 6 per cent is Christian. Over 20 per cent of the population is Arab.
Hamas is an organisation that rejects secularism and has as part of its manifesto the complete obliteration of Jewish people. Israel ceded the Gaza Strip to Hamas bowing to international pressure. Hamas, despite having the chance to develop the region using Israeli technology and resources, opted to continue using the strip for terror activities. Check out all facts about the matter including those from the perspective of anti-Israeli news sources. The hatred of Israel among Hamas supporters is so intense that they refuse to take cover from incoming Hamas missiles into Jerusalem.
In 1936, years before the Holocaust, a pogrom against Jewish people broke out in Arab countries.
Before then, a wave of anti-Semitic attacks on Jews had become prevalent in Europe. Hitler, believed that the Jews were too powerful and to curtail their influence, should be wiped out – first in Germany, and then – in the world. But you want to ask how such powerful and influential people allowed Hitler to kill 6 million of their compatriots without successfully preventing it? By the way, the Arabs rejected the 1947 accord insisting that the Jews leave the region. This did not go down well. This period was when a man could murder a Jew and not be punished. War broke out and I believe both sides committed crimes, judging by the situation of the time. Many Arabs left the region in hope of a powerful invasion by surrounding Arab countries that would annihilate the Jews. When on May 16, 1948, the powerful Arab countries attacked, the new Israeli State was not prepared militarily but was only lucky.
Hence, the Israeli civilians had been faced with hundreds of attacks by Arab militias pushing the new country into stiffer defence. The condition has lasted to date. At Camp David in 2000, the Israeli Prime Minister gave up all the territories held by Israel in the West Bank and Gaza and agreed to the partition of Jerusalem – the two-state solution. Yasser Arafat said no to all of it for 6 days. His demand? See things from the perspective of justice and read well before forming opinions. Ignorant opinions present a threat to the world.
